Scope

Standardization of fasteners with metric external thread (coarse and fine pitch) and related test methods, such as:

  • basic standards for fasteners: mechanical, physical and functional properties,
  • reference standards (driving features, countersunk heads, gauging, etc.)
  • product standards (bolts, screws, studs, set screws, etc.)
  • other technical supporting documents (design, tightening, etc.)
